The Journal of African Cinemas is an academic journal dedicated to African cinema, exploring the interaction between visual and linguistic storytelling in African cinema. It examines the positions related to identity and perception in different African film languages. Editors seek papers to elaborate on the identities or multiple identities represented by Africa and its people in films.
