Also it's a good chance for me to improve my English. I hope I can make a good performance today. The topic of my speech is "After studying here".
Before I came here,I can never imagine that I can learn so much knowledge about other countries, which can't be got from my books in school. Three months ago, I took my first class. Unfortunately, I felt so embarrassed, because I even can't speak any words, though I know I really love English .

此篇習作基本按照申請信的格式要求去寫，也基本覆蓋了所要求的全部要點，對自己的寫信目的和意圖、自己的特點和決心也能表達出來，也用到了一些好的詞匯和短語，如apply for, communicate with等，但是文章語言組織不是特別理想，個別地方重復，還有語言錯誤，從而影響了整體效果。本文還有很多提高的空間，可以屬于第三檔。
【教師修改】
1. 內容重復現象：第一段和第二段的自我介紹出現了兩次，可把第二段的“I’m Li Hua. I am a middle school student.”刪掉。
2. 第一段在獲知這個消息時，可再補加你對這個活動的感覺，即你是否感興趣（I’m interested in it），然后再寫申請，這樣不至于顯得突然。
3. all countries’ students表達不太地道，應改成：the students from all the countries。
4. 第二段的many strength名詞變復數形式。
5. “I have learned English for 10 years”最好有現在完成進行時態，說明“learn”這個動作仍在繼續中。
6. 既然體現自己的強項，那么“And I can communicate with foreigners in English”此句中最好帶上一個“流利地”副詞(freely 或者fluently)，才能和strength一致。
7. “I can tell the students from other countries about China and learn their countries”此句中最好帶上一個承接詞，“同時；也”之類的，如and meanwhile或結尾處用as well。
8. “I wish you will consider me…”這句話是語法錯誤，用would?；蛘哂胔ope來替代。

我喜愛鋼琴，10年順利通過天津考級委員會六級考核，成績優秀。今年四月通過藝術特長生鋼琴考核。
我喜愛朗誦，在南開第九屆藝術比賽中獲朗誦一等獎，南開區“祖國，我為您喝彩”比賽中獲小學二等獎。

您們好!
首先，衷心感謝老師在百忙之中瀏覽這封自薦信，讓我展示小學六年來的成績。對貴校神往已久，我希望在貴校開始初中生活。
我叫王一名，從2005年9月起在五華區中華小學讀書。在老師們辛勤培育下，我養成了良好的學習習慣，所學課程發展全面，都取得了優異成績，六年來獲學校頒發的各科榮譽證書有二十多張。我通過素質考評和競選擔任了學習委員、中隊長、及校大隊部禮儀部部長，每年被評為學校三好學生和學校優秀學生干部，還有兩學年被評選為五華區“雛鷹少年”。
我愛好語文，善于朗讀，富于想象，喜歡用語言文字來表達我的情感和行為，經常參給校報等報刊投稿，擔任了學校《《學生新報》》的小記者，2008年還被評為優秀小記者，2010年6月在五華區第二十屆學生藝術節‘吟誦’比賽中獲金獎;我還特別喜歡學數學，長期加強對自己進行邏輯思維訓練，2009年參加學校組織的“數學周”口算活動獲一等獎;我也很重視英語，能利用各種機會學習英語，2008年參加了全國少兒英語等級考試，達到初始三級要求并獲證書。
這幾年，老師和家長從來沒放松對我綜合素質的培養。我結合愛好選修了聲樂，現跟隨云南省歌舞劇院國家一級演員王郁芝老師學習聲樂，并獲得中國音樂學院少兒聲樂10級證書。在學習聲樂的過程中，我利用各種機會鍛煉和展示自己，多次參加各類的歌曲比賽并取得優異成績。在2007年，7月參加云南電視臺少兒頻道歌曲大賽獲三次一等獎和一次特等獎，8月參加北京全國少兒歌曲大賽獲優秀獎;2008年，5月參加云南“明日之星”獲銅獎，12月參加全國“德藝雙馨”少兒聲樂A組比賽榮獲云南賽區金獎，同月參加云南省“和諧中國”大賽獲金獎;2009年，2月參加全國“德藝雙馨”評選活動中獲少兒聲樂A組金獎;2010年，7月參加全國兒童歌曲大獎賽云南賽區榮獲小學B組金獎，緊接著參加了“中國民族文化藝術展示盛典”暨“第三屆中國青少年藝術盛典”獲少年A組金獎，8月參加全國第九屆中國少年兒童歌曲卡拉OK電視大賽獲兒童B組銅獎。
我憑借在大賽中的優異表現，多次參加文藝演出活動和擔任評審。云南改革開放30周年專題文藝晚會《七彩頌歌》上，我獨唱了歌曲《祝福云南》;云南電視臺少兒頻道2008年元旦晚會上，我領唱了《朝霞之歌》和《小小世界》;2009年，在云南電視臺少兒頻道迎新晚會上，我表演歌舞《跨世紀的新一代》;還是這一年，我在北京“德藝雙馨”祖國頌晚會中領唱《學好本領去回答》。2010年8月，我被中央電視臺青少年節目中心聘為2010年全國兒童歌曲大獎賽兒童評委。
在校學習和業余愛好只是學生素質的部份。除此之外，老師和家長還注重加強我的思想道德培養，使我從一個懵懂幼兒開始懂得孝道、尊重、責任、熱情、誠實等等做人的基本道理，積極參加學校組織的各種社會公益活動，使我的德智體等得到全面發展。
過去并不代表未來，對于今后的學習生活，我會不斷地努力學習，不斷地完善自己，我充滿了信心成為貴校一名合格的中學生。
